Keith Zackel - Broker
As a John L. Scott broker, my mission is transactional excellence and client satisfaction. That means I work tirelessly to make your home buying or selling process as efficient, stress-free and lucrative for you as possible.
Keith Zackel believes in the power of real estate. He knows that your home is where you start and end each day. It’s where adventures begin and where you gather with friends and family, where you plant your dream garden or relax outside in your favorite chair at the end of the day. Whether his clients are selling or buying, Keith approaches every transaction with laser focus on his clients. His job is to assist them in finding the home that they want to grow in, not just looking at the number of rooms or kitchen cabinets.
After discovering his love for real estate in 2014, Keith hasn’t looked back. He is an extrovert who is always up for a challenge and he thrives in high-pressure scenarios, remaining calm and collected in even ultra-stressful situations. Keith “sweats the small stuff” when it matters, going over every contract and title report with a fine-tooth comb to make sure the I’s are dotted and the T’s are crossed.
Keith works year round to stay ahead of the latest trends, and is always studying contracts and sitting in on conference calls with lawyers to stay up-to-date on the legal side of the business. He attends weekly sales meetings as well as at least one industry conference a year. He meets with loan officers and home inspectors and also regularly checks in with current and past clients to make sure that he is doing the job they are expecting of him. At the end of the day, Keith’s biggest goal is to earn the trust and respect of his clients and come out every transaction as friends.
Keith serves all of Whatcom County, including the Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, Birch Bay/Blaine and Deming areas. He is a self described “equal opportunity kind of guy” working with buyers and sellers with wide ranging budgets and tastes. Whether it’s a manufactured home in the county or a million dollar home on a bluff, Keith wants to help make your dream a reality.
He loves to give back to his community and is a regular donor to the John L. Scott Foundation. Both his wife and mother-in-law are emergency room nurses, and Keith passionately supports medical caregivers. Annually, he helps sponsor a local 5K fun run called Everyday Superheroes 5K Run & Walk in Bellingham. The event is organized by Behind the Cross Foundation, a group of St. Joseph Medical Center ER nurses who wanted to help other caregivers in times of need.
In his free time Keith will almost always be found hanging out with his wife and infant son, out on the local trails, paddleboarding on Lake Whatcom, on a weekend adventure somewhere around the state or enjoying a cup of coffee at a local Woods Coffee shop. Keith also likes tackling an aggressive mountain bike ride down Galbraith Mountain, going on a solo paddle, or having a cup of coffee with a good friend.
